Air Canada has dropped the price of their 1-stop flights (via Vancouver) from Edmonton to Brisbane, Australia down to $976 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
This is 43% below the typical best roundtrip price from Edmonton to Brisbane.
It's about a 60 to 90 min drive or train ride from Brisbane to the famous Gold Coast.

September, October, and November 2016 (spring-time in Australia)

2. Enter the following promo code: BRISBANE15
3. Search for a flight from Edmonton to Brisbane, Australia (BNE) in September, October, or November 2016.

Update 7/21 - After receiving quite a few messages from people mentioning that they couldn't find these flights to Brisbane, I've noticed something interesting...
Air Canada has been testing out a new version of their website.
If you enter the promo code and search for these flights on their old website, you will be greeted with a message that says 'Unfortunately, no flight results were found for the search criteria you have entered. '
But if you enter the promo code (BRISBANE15) and search for these flights on their *new* website, it will work just fine.
