Flight Centre is offering a promotion for $100 CAD off of any roundtrip flight from Edmonton to anywhere in Asia, when using one of the following airlines.
Air Canada
Air China,
Cathay Pacific,
China Airlines
China Southern
Korean Airlines
There are no blackout dates.
The promotion expires on Sep 16, 2016.
When the promotion is used in conjunction with a route that is already at historically low levels, it can be a really great deal.
These flights are the fastest way of getting from Edmonton to Japan, and they are also currently the cheapest.
How to find and book this deal
1. Start with a Google Flights search like this one:
Google Flights: Edmonton to Tokyo, Japan
airline: Air Canada, 1-stop flights via Calgary or Vancouver
availability: September 2016 to March 2017.
2. Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and try other dates. Look for the date combinations that are currently showing as $809 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
You may need to play with the dates a bit to find flights that have good connection times (around 1.5 to 2 hours, in either Vancouver or Calgary)
3. Go to the Flight Centre website and try searching for the same destination and dates that you found on Google Flights.
The price should show up as $808 CAD roundtrip on Flight Centre.
NOTE: Sometimes you may need to scroll down a bit in the Flight Centre results to see the fastest or best flights. The one at the top isn't always the best.
4. When you call Flight Centre to book, they will subtract $100 from the price showing on their website.
The number to call is 1-877-967-5302.
Calling in, or visiting a Flight Centre location, is the only way to book and receive the $100 discount.
