For those that are willing to gamble well before they even get there, Flair Air is showing nonstop flights from Edmonton to Las Vegas for $136 to $256 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The base fare without luggage (personal item only) is $136 CAD roundtrip.
The more realistic price is $256 roundtrip with a piece of carry-on luggage. For comparison this is about 50-70% cheaper than WestJet's current prices from YEG to Las Vegas.
Edmonton to Tucson, Arizona is also available for the same price.
Booking with Flair comes with risk. They've been known to drop routes without warning. If a flight is cancelled or delayed they usually don't have an alternative way of getting you to your destination (many routes only have flights 2-3 times a week). This tends to become a larger risk during winter when weather can affect the operations of all airlines.
And to be fair, Swoop (owned by WestJet and Flair's main competitor) has also recently dropped certain U.S. routes altogether (such as to San Diego and Nashville).
